RPO (Recovery Point Objective)
The maximum data loss your business is willing to accept in a disaster — usually measured in hours.
Full definition
RPO (Recovery Point Objective) is the maximum amount of data loss — measured in time — that a business is willing to accept when recovering from a disaster. An RPO of 6 hours means that, after a catastrophic failure, the most recent recoverable state can be up to 6 hours stale. Zaffre HRM’s 6-hourly encrypted backups give an RPO of 6 hours.
