HCM (Human Capital Management)
A superset of HRM focused on treating employees as strategic capital: talent acquisition, performance, succession, learning, and compensation strategy.
Full definition
HCM (Human Capital Management) is a broader, more strategic discipline than HRM. Where HRM tracks the operational lifecycle of an employee, HCM also covers talent acquisition strategy, performance management, succession planning, learning and development, total-rewards/compensation strategy and workforce planning. Most "HCM platforms" are HRMS products that also ship performance, succession and learning modules. Zaffre HRM is an HCM platform for the SMB and mid-market segment.
